A. Kirk, after his dad

Q. What is your favorite animal?
A. Dog. Mr. Schappaugh has a dog named Geronimo, after his favorite spot in Florida.

Q. What is your favorite sport?
A. Football

Q. What is your favorite football team?
A. Iowa Hawkeyes and Chicago Bears

Q. What was your favorite class in high school?
A. A tie between Speech and Debate and Newspaper

Q. What is your favorite movie?
A. “Sister Act” and “Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit”

Q. What is your favorite quote?

Q. What is your Starbucks order?
A. For fall a Pumpkin Spice Latte with oat milk and half the pumps. Normally it is an Oat Milk Latte with sugar-free vanilla.

Q. Who inspires you?
A. “My wife is the first person that comes to mind. I am so blessed that we found each other in high school. My wife is such a good human. I have evolved a lot, and she just sees the best in people.”

Q. Is there anything you want Roosevelt students to know?
A. “I believe that school is the students’ space. It is not my space, it is not the teachers’ space, we are here in service of students. It is your community; you are the leaders, the faces of the community and the biggest source of change.”
