Patrick Dix is the new at-large member on the Des Moines School Board. Dix filled Kelli Soyer's seat, earning 65% of the vote. Dix hopes to increase the accountability, inclusivity and communication with families in the Des Moines Public Schools District.

Kim Martorano earned District 1's seat on the board. Martorano hopes to continue to improve the diversity and quality of curriculum in DMPs and maintain the safety and emotional well being of all students and staff.

Anna Campos has been elected to hold the District 3 seat on the board. Campos values community partnership in schools and hopes to get more people involved. She also hopes to increase teacher support in the classroom and also increase teachers access to mental health resources.
